The whole run — plan, download, navigate, record, review — works with zero bars of signal.

Offline maps

Draw a rectangle around your route, pick zoom levels, see the size estimate, and download. It renders in airplane mode — even at the trailhead with no coverage.

GPX routes & builder

Import a GPX from an event or friend, or tap the map to sketch your own route. Save, rename, duplicate, and reload with faithful geometry.

GPS activity recording

Start, pause, resume, and finish. Track distance, moving time, pace, and elevation gain with implausible points filtered out and progress saved as you go.

On-route navigation

See your route line, recorded track, and live position at a glance. Optional off-route and junction alerts keep you honest — with north-up or course-up.

History & GPX export

Every finished run is saved locally with its map and summary. Export any activity back to GPX to open in your favorite tools.

Routes, activities, and maps stay on your device. No sign-up, no telemetry, no location uploads — your tracks are yours.

  1. Download RunTiyul.apk.
  2. If your installed app is v1.2.0 or older, uninstall it once before installing v1.2.2 or later. This normally removes that installation's local data.
  3. Allow "install unknown apps" for your browser or file manager.
  4. Open the file to install — or run adb install RunTiyul.apk.

Frequently asked

Is RunTiyul really free?

Yes. It's free and open source under the MIT license. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no paid tiers.

Why is the iOS build "unsigned"?

Publishing to the App Store requires a paid Apple Developer account and signing certificates. The .ipa is provided so you can sideload it yourself with AltStore or Sideloadly using your own Apple ID.

Is it safe to install the APK?

The APK is built in the open by this repository's GitHub Actions workflow and published as a GitHub Release asset. You can review the workflow and verify checksums on the releases page.

Does it collect my location or data?

No. Routes, activities, and downloaded maps are stored locally on your device. RunTiyul does not require an account and does not upload your location history.

Which devices are supported?

Android and iOS. The Android build is verified on an emulator today; physical-device and iOS runtime verification are in progress — see the project wiki for current status.
